What now? Should the GOP just forget about it and concentrate on Bryan Kline's race? After all, Patterson did poorly in his re-election primary for Clerk of Courts.

Heaven's no...they needt to find a new candidate....this isn't about a candidate having a personal appeal that will sweep them into election. this is about turning out the vote. Having three candidates working at turning out the GOP vote rather than 2 is very good. Once most GOPers get out there in this election they will vote for the GOP candidates.
Even though in the state of PA there are 1.2million more democrats than REpublicans there were still 22,000+ more Republican Voters in the primary. We absolutely can turnout more Repubs than Dems in this county. So I say the more candidates the merrier and that a united effort among three candidates(plus the local candidates) plus the party apparatus can produce a winning formula in November

The Horvat's most certainly did help Harry Smail. I was at their poll on election day and they were handing out Smail Tablets and Bononi flyers plus the State Committee Slate Card which listed BOTH Smail and Bononi.

But to the question yes Bryan Kline's race should be focused on. No one is going to beat a O'Brien.The party people need to realize Bryan is their only hope to win a row office. He is a very good candidate.

Patterson did post weak results in the primary. If caruso would of been kicked off the ballot Laughlin would of won, the primary.

the post was about Tom Marflak withdraws as GOP candidate for Prothonotary. I'm a Latrobe resident and would like to tell you that Marflak was the worst mayor Latrobe has ever had. At this point I wish Unity township would take over Latrobe. way to much politics in Latrobe. The business hub is RT 30 in unity not downtown Latrobe.
Joe Lutz would be a good canidate.

Maybe the WORLD doesn't revolve around Hempfield Township, but it seems the county does. Hempfield is probably the most active committee in the county. Why not Sue Scherff for prothonotary? No, that would never work since she is friends with Frank (sarcasm). Sue is a true leader who gets things done. But then........What does any of these last few posts have to to with Tom Marflak withdrawing as a candidate for Prothonotary?
