As usual, I have deleted some posts.

After an election, I always like to delete a few posts which commented on the current election. Last election, I deleted the entire blog. For this election, I just deleted the appropriate subjects. I left the Frank Schiefer post up because I really want Frank and others to learn to put things aside and just get along. Life is way to short.

People will not put things aside and even try to get along with Frank because he is a free thinker and the committee does NOT want to deal with people who think for themselves. You of all people should know that, Perry. The committee gets along with people who go along with whomever the state committee ENDORSES even though they don't agree with them. As for me, I vote for who I want to. I think that the party should do away with ALL endorsements. I think that endorsements are nothing more than fixing the elections. A perfect example of this is when we VOTED for our county officers. In my opinion, that election was FIXED. A big congratuations goes out for Frank for winning the vote for Jury Commissioner. He really deserves it. In a pevious post, Elizabeth ADVISED everyone to vote for Lois Wolf Geer. And what's she going to do to the people who didn't vote for Lois? Hunt them down? If Lois had enough class to call and congratuate Frank why couldn't the rest of you do the same? Lois is really a classy lady. You want to know why the dems always win the elections.......because they are united.

I disagree with the democrats always winning elections and being united. Elizabeth doesn't do vendettas.

Anonymous - so sad that you are -

Advise is to give advice - or to recommend - compliments of Miriam Webster just for you!

And . . . I am awesome at hunting on Cabela's Trophy Bucks on Wii - but in real life, I'm a fisher, not a hunter. In fact, I think there is still a picture of me holding a bass at the GOP HQ.

So Pennsylvanians . . . and readers of Perry's blog . . . Saturday is free fish day! Even if you don't have a license, you can fish for free and try it out. I ADVISE or RECOMMEND Twin Lakes upper and Northmoreland. =) (just had to throw that in)

Elizabeth just follows orders shes a footsoldier and pawn in the political world.

Elizabeth is far from a "footsoldier and pawn." I know for a fact she has worked independently on issues. Don't you remember the trouble I had when she and the political establishment couldn't get along? I just wished she lived in the Greater Latrobe School district so she could be actively involved in my wife's campaign. For any campaign, the first two people I would hire would be Elizabeth Yorio and Nathan Shrader. That campaign would rock.

Power lies with those who are under-estimated.

I am having a hard time understanding the negativity towards Frank. I supported Lois Geer for Jury Commissioner financially, as a volunteer, and as a poll worker. She has been a good friend of mine since I was a kid. With that said, Frank is also a friend of mine and I think that the county party ought to show him some respect for the work he has done to improve the GOP over the last few years and respect his freedom to back whoever he wants in primary contests.

In my view, if we have learned anything at all in this primary, we ought to demand that the state party (and for the record, county party) should do away with silly endorsements. Was there any reason at all to create unnecessary rancor between people at the local level by endorsing Orie-Melvin? As someone who supported one of the other candidates, I just don't see how the state party benefits from trying to push people around like party bosses used to do in the days of smoke-filled backrooms.

Let everyone support who they want! It's the 21st century, not 1950.

VERY well put, Nathan. This is something that I have been saying all along. DO AWAY WITH ENDORSEMENTS!!!!!!!!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again; I think it's nothing more than fixing the elections. I didn't support Orie melvin either.
