What I think is inappropriate at this point is the statement George made that he is going to tell the judges why the other candidates were not selected by the committee. I have spoken to some committee folks and the gripe they had with some candidates was the fact the candidate would not be overtly partisan and working on re-election from day 1. It is not the judges responsibility to select someone to position the GOP to win two seats in the next election. If Dunbar is going to be critical of other republicans, maybe he should be viewed the same way as me. He is the dude who asked me to resign at the request of several districts.
read about it in the Trib...
Dunbar said that in addition to his letter recommending the party's endorsed candidates, he also sent the judges information about which candidates were not supported by his committee.

I will tell you now that George has pretty much guaranteed him self that he will not continue to run the party.
George Dunbar never ran anything any way - he is just another Kim Ward puppet!
I have nothing against George and those are not my comments.
George has been in management of companies before.
I wasn't exactly fond of how he handled the exit of Bob Regola from the race. Once it was determined that Bob was in the primary, I was committed to him in the race. I do not believe that the fear of losing(by Harrisburg insiders) is a reason for someone dropping out of the race. I did not like it when Toricelli dropping out of the US Senate race in NJ cost the GOP a US Senate seat and I did not like it in the 39th. Besides, the election results look like Bob would have probably won in a tight election.
George has been in management of companies, Perry. But in fairness, at least one of them filed bankruptcy
Perry, How about the bizarre Trib editorial hatchet-job on Jess Stairs today? Clearly an attempt to intimidate the judges, don't you think? Stairs won his district by huge margins for 30+ years. He has plenty of Harrisburg connections that could help Westmoreland - especially in these tough economic times.

Jess Stairs was a great representative but didn't cozy up to Scaife and that means bad press from the Trib. What a shame that the paper slants everything the way they do.
