Europe is leaning right and we are leaning left
I just saw on Drudge that Sarah Palin is making the rounds trying to be the voice of the right in the US. I am not buying it. I was for her very early in the VP stakes, but her performance as a running mate was dismal and I really don't think she is all that bright. Sorry to those of you who love her, but we need someone who can really guide us(Mitt Romney). The GOP can do way better than Palin. hint hint: Mitt Romney.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The elections were for the European Parliament. Turnout was low because most people there still are more concerned about their own national governments, not the EU.
Europeans are years ahead of the USA in dealing with issues like single-payer health care systems. Little will change from these elections. If you look closely at Europe, right leaning leaders like those in Germany and France, lean left once they are in office because they are not dramatically changing the social contract between their citizens and their governments.
